Responsibilities
Your Daily Life as a Field Service Technician Refrigeration Mechanic:
Commissioning & Maintenance: You will handle the startup (commissioning), complex repairs, and preventive maintenance of dehumidification systems directly at client sites across Canada and the United States.
Technical Inspections: Your role involves performing meticulous equipment inspections to make necessary mechanical adjustments and replace defective or worn components.
Performance Testing: You will conduct rigorous performance tests using specialized tools to optimize the operational parameters of air treatment systems.
Technical Documentation: Reporting is central to your role; you will prepare detailed operational data reports via a dedicated digital platform.
Client Training: You will act as a technical instructor for clients' maintenance staff, ensuring the optimal use of our cutting-edge technologies.
Problem Solving: In collaboration with Service Managers, you will resolve on-site technical challenges while maintaining fluid communication with all stakeholders.
Qualifications
Expertise Required for the Field Service Refrigeration Mechanic Technician Role:
Experience: You have a minimum of 2–3 years of relevant experience in HVAC systems and controls, or an equivalent combination of specialized technical training.
Licensing: You hold the necessary certifications and licenses as a Refrigeration Mechanic or in refrigeration systems.
Technical Mastery: You demonstrate an in-depth understanding of heat transfer and psychrometric principles applied to commercial air conditioning products.
Mobility: You have high availability for frequent travel.
Bilingualism: Proficiency in both English and French is essential for communicating with colleagues and clients across Canada and the United States.
Soft Skills: You are highly autonomous, possess exemplary organizational skills, and have the ability to manage multiple priorities under strict deadlines.
Travel Requirements: You hold a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and have the necessary documentation/eligibility to travel between Canada and the U.S.
