key responsibilities
- You coach and inspire a team of three transport professionals while actively participating in daily transport planning across road and water.
- You conduct sharp rate negotiations for existing and new routes and meticulously monitor transport budgets and KPIs.
- You serve as the primary internal contact for complex waste legislation, ensuring all operations meet the highest quality standards and procedures.
- You drive innovation by digitalizing and automating transport processes and implementing structural continuous improvements.
- You build sustainable relationships with external partners and internal departments, reporting directly to financial management.
- You analyze market insights and proactively share them with the team to elevate overall performance.
qualifications
- You hold a Master’s degree and have at least 5 years of experience in an international transport environment (a focus on maritime transport is a plus).
- You are an authority on road and water transport, as well as the applicable waste disposal legislation.
- You are a natural leader who knows how to motivate people and dares to both delegate and take full ownership.
- You are a "caller by nature" who communicates fluently in Dutch and English; an excellent command of French is essential.
- You are result-driven, think out-of-the-box, and remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
