We're looking for a Transportation Clerk a large organization in Milton! In this role, you'll manage shipments, coordinate transportation solutions, and build strong relationships with carriers and customers. Advantages
- 2 month contract with the possibility for extension
- $25 - $27/ hour
- Hours: 7:00am - 3:00pm or 8:00am - 4:00pm

Responsibilities
- With direction and guidance from the Director, input data from invoices to create requisitions and ensure all data matches
- Support the transport teams and be accountable for daily delivery operations, performance and customer satisfaction
- Assist with the continued improvement of performance standards/metrics and ensure that all data is captured for analytics and reporting
- Coordinate yearly licencing renewals for various provinces for internal truck fleet
- Administer fleet-related operational tools
- Maintain database for fleet assets
- Engage and collaborate with multiple key internal stakeholders, such as Supply Chain, Pro Operations, Merchandising, Store Operations, and Dealer Services at a regional and national level
- Provide data to Finance every month to support monthly financial reporting
- Work on complex issues that require a good understanding of transportation strategies to analyze the situation
- Additional administrative duties as required
Qualifications
- 1-2 years in an order entry or coordination role, logistic experience in a benefit
- Experience with ERP systems (Oracle prefered) and intermediate Excel skills inclduing pivot tables and vlookup
- Ability to collaborate with teams in a complex organization and quickly establish credibility across the organization
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with customers and carriers.
- Capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Open to constructive feedback and continuous improvement.
- Ability to respond quickly and adapt in an evolving environment.
- Comfortable learning and integrating new technologies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. (Bilingual French/English is an asset)
- High level of integrity and a strong work ethic.
