We are seeking a driven and eager-to-learn Global Settlements Employee for our client, who is active in the global healthcare sector and is one of the world's largest and most innovative companies.

Our client holds a strong presence with their Global Treasury Services Center (GTSC) in Beerse, Belgium. This center acts as the in-house bank and is crucial for the financing, cash, and risk management, as well as the settlement of transactions for their worldwide affiliates. This offers a unique opportunity to gain insight into the corporate, affiliate, and banking environments, and to enhance your global mindset by collaborating daily with people from all over the world.

We are seeking a driven and eager-to-learn Global Settlements Employee for our client, who is active in the global healthcare sector and is one of the world's largest and most innovative companies.

Next to supporting the daily management of payments, the team is also involved in large and exciting global payment projects. Depending on the priorities, we are looking for an enthusiastic team member who can support either of both areas.

key responsibilities
As a Global Settlements Employee, you are a critical link in ensuring the daily operations of the settlement system:
- Supervising payment instructions and performing bank reconciliations
- Resolving any differences and addressing payment queries coming from internal business partners
- Preparing various reports at month-end
- Actively contributing to the continuous improvement of systems and processes
- Working in an environment where compliance and adherence to Sarbanes Oxley are paramount. We expect you to take ownership of this mindset
- Building strong relationships with financial institutions worldwide and with internal business partners (such as Global Procurement, Finance, and Shared Services) to successfully onboard new companies and/or countries onto the global process

- You hold a Master's degree in Economics or equivalent

- You have attention to detail and analytical thinking, while keeping the big picture in mind
- Experience with SAP and Excel is a plus
- You enjoy building inclusive internal and external relationships and fostering collaboration across levels to build effective solutions
- You can express yourself fluently in English
