    We are currently recruiting for a Housing Solutions Assistant to come and join a great team based out of Newport. This role will be on a full time basis, working 37 hours a week Monday to Friday. This role will be a mixture of home working and office working This role will be until the end of March 2022. Job PurposeTo emphasise the prevention of homelessness by assisting client in retaining their current accommodation and ensuring access to suitable housing for those in need.To effectively contribute to the homelessness prevention, homelessness and housing strategies.To assist the Housing Solutions Officers in monitoring homelessness duties owed and monitoring clients personal housing plans Main Duties Maintain a caseload and actively work with clients to prevent or relieve homelessnessTo provide housing advice, information and support in accordance with the Housing (Wales) Act 2014 and otherrelevant associated legislation and in line with the company's policies and practices To initiate new ideas, promote solutions and help manage the Council's response to homelessness Establish, maintain and develop close liaisons with a range of social housing providers, statutory agencies and voluntary organisations to ensure the effective provision of the service. To improve access to the private rented sector working closely with partner agencies. To assist clients in completing application forms for housing and related services eg Home Options applications, Housing support referralsMaintain detailed case notes and client records in line with GDPR and confidentiality policies and procedures To take a pro-active approach to the prevention of homelessness and to work with all Officers within the Housing Needs Unit in this respectTo ensure that the support and practical help is provided where it is practicable to do so to homeless people.Maintain comprehensive awareness of the law and good practice and its application to the work of the team To carry out duties and responsibilities, where necessary, appropriate and practicable, of the same grade within the Housing Needs Unit in order to ensure that a seamless and consistent service is provided to all customersTo participate in supervision, personal development plans, team meetings, training and other forums to actively promote homelessness prevention and relief If you feel you are right for the role apply today.Randstad Business Support acts as an employment business when supplying temporary staff and as an employment agency when introducing candidates for permanent employment with a client.     Are you either an experienced customer service advisor or looking to start off your career and really develop your skills with one of the UKS largest engineering companies. If that is you, this is going to be a great career for you! You would be responsible for managing orders from manufacturers within the UK, you would be liasing with people from other departments and working together to ensure stock was always with the customer and that any excess stock can be utilised. Ideally you will have a keen attention to details which will help you spot opportunities. You will also need to be comfortable and confident speaking with people on the phone. If you have experience in supply chain or customer service already, that would be a bonus!
