Randstad is delighted to be supporting our valued business partner, a market leader within the essential services sector, to source an experienced Workforce Planner & Administrator for a key operational position.
This initial contract opportunity offers a highly professional individual the chance to gain valuable experience supporting workforce operations within a specialised, fast-paced environment, ensuring effective staffing and resource allocation to maintain operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
In this dynamic role, you will play a crucial part in managing complex rosters and coordinating with stakeholders to support a well-structured and responsive workforce. Your duties will include:
Roster Management: Creating, managing, and adjusting work schedules for approximately 1–2 units (covering around 500 staff) to ensure adequate staffing levels.
Workforce Support: Monitoring attendance, processing leave requests, and assisting with on boarding to support smooth daily operations.
Reporting & Analytics: Maintaining accurate workforce records, preparing detailed reports, and analysing trends to identify areas for efficiency improvement.
Compliance: Ensuring absolute compliance with workplace policies, labor laws, and strict confidentiality requirements.
Stakeholder Liaison: Serving as a primary point of contact between employees and management to resolve scheduling conflicts and facilitate clear communication.
What You Need to Succeed
To be successful in this role, you will bring a strong background in workforce planning alongside the following attributes:
Proven Experience: Demonstrated experience managing complex rostering and scheduling for large workforces (ideally ~500 staff across multiple units).
Technical Proficiency: Strong intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills are essential.
Systems Experience: Previous hands-on experience utilising Payroll Metrics is highly desirable.
Key Attributes: Exceptional attention to detail, strong problem-solving capabilities, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Eligibility: Must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident.
