Preventive & Predictive Maintenance: Develop, implement, and execute comprehensive Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Predictive Maintenance (PdM) schedules for all critical plant machinery, including CNC machines, gear cutting equipment, testing rigs, and utility systems.
Breakdown Management: Rapidly diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults on industrial equipment to minimise production downtime.
Continuous Improvement: Analyse equipment failures (Root Cause Analysis - RCA) and implement corrective actions and modifications to improve machine reliability, efficiency, and Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF).
Spare Parts & Inventory: Manage critical spare parts inventory, procure specialist components, and ensure the availability of all necessary tools and supplies for maintenance operations.
Safety & Compliance: Strictly adhere to and enforce all company Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies. Ensure all equipment and maintenance activities comply with regulatory standards.
Team & Contractor Supervision: Supervise and guide maintenance technicians and external contractors, ensuring all work is completed efficiently and to the required quality standards.
Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date maintenance records, equipment history, technical drawings, and documentation within the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
Required Qualifications & Experience
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Experience: [Insert relevant experience years, e.g., 3-5 years] of experience as a Maintenance Engineer in a heavy engineering, gear manufacturing, or process plant environment.
Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in troubleshooting industrial machinery, including Gear Units/Gearboxes, Couplings, pumps, compressors, and motor control systems. Familiarity with precision machining equipment (CNC, VMC, etc.) is highly preferred.
Knowledge: Expertise in using condition monitoring techniques (e.g., vibration analysis, thermal imaging) and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
