Responsibilities
RCM Advisory: Serve as the subject matter expert for Risk LOBs on control activities, including Effectiveness Assessments and Independent Monitoring.
Reporting & Analytics: Develop and present comprehensive reports to senior leadership regarding the status of the control environment and Key Risk Indicators (KRIs).
Project Management: Provide structure to the scheduling of compliance examinations and internal/external audits. Manage deficiency remediation progress and action plans for assigned LOBs.
Relationship Management: Act as the central point of contact for all RCM-related matters, building strong partnerships across infrastructure and corporate governance groups.
Process Evolution: Monitor the Monthly Regulatory Development process and propose creative, efficient solutions to navigate emerging regulatory challenges.
Qualifications
Must Have:
Experience: 7–8 years of dedicated experience in Control Testing and Quality Assurance (QA).
Domain Expertise: Comprehensive understanding of regulatory compliance frameworks and risk management expertise within the financial services sector.
RCM Specifics: At least 3–5 years of direct experience in Regulatory Compliance Management.
Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at the executive level.
Nice to Haves:
Education: An MBA is highly desirable.
Professional Designations: CFA, CPA, or CIA certifications.
Systems Knowledge: Prior experience with or understanding of CIBC’s specific RCM framework is a significant plus.
