Your New Company/Role:
As a well established organisation, my client is looking for an experienced Accounts Officer (Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable) to join their team on a 3 months temporary full time basis and subject to permanency. The role is to be based in their Brookvale NSW 2100 office with onsite parking provided alongside 2 days work from home flexibility. Once up to speed, arrangement to work from their North Ryde NSW 2113 office some days is possible .
About the Opportunity / Responsibilities:
Reporting to a nurturing Financial Controller and Company Accountant; you are responsible for
- Manage and control accounts receivable and payable for the business and all associated companies
- Accurate and timely processing of invoices
- Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable management
- Ensure exchange rates are up to date
- Sending monthly customer statements & reminder letters
- Processing staff expenses
- Maintaining petty cash
- Collection calls
- Bank reconciliation
- Data entry and maintenance of accounting and customer management systems
- Performing credit checks & advise on credit risk
- Handling suppliers/customer queries effectively
- Other ad hoc duties as and when required
Ideal Profile
This opportunity is for someone who has experience within a similar role. You will also bring:
- Tertiary qualification in Accounting & Finance/Business/Commerce or equivalent work experience
- 3 - 5 years experience in a similar role
- Prior experience in Business Central or other large ERP systems are highly desirable
- Intermediate Excel skill
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work independently and in a team environment
Benefits
- 3 months temporary position and subject to permanency
- $37.00 - $46.00 per hour + Super (based on experience)
