Strategic Planning & Leadership
* Plan, schedule, and execute the entire outfitting and system integration scope in
alignment with the project’s Master Production Schedule.
* Drive continuous micro-planning across all outfitting sections (e.g., Mechanical, Piping,

Electrical, Commissioning) to ensure optimal resource utilization and on-time delivery.
* Allocate resources, manpower, and facilities effectively to Heads of section under
Engineering Outfitting.
Engineering & Production Oversight
* Oversee the installation, alignment, and chock fastening of major machinery, includingJOB DESCRIPTION
main engines, auxiliaries, propulsion systems (stern gear), and steering gear.
* Direct the execution of pipework, HVAC, insulation, electrical cabling, instrumentation,
and communication equipment installation throughout the vessel, including engine rooms
and compartments.
* Ensure all hot work related to outfitting is completed before critical stages like painting, as
per department procedures.
* Manage all pre-requisite activities such as equipment protection, preservation, de-
preservation, and boxing-up of various systems.
Quality, Testing & Trials
* Ensure strict adherence to Quality, Health, Safety & Environment (QHSE) standards and
departmental policies.
* Supervise and manage all Set to Work (STW), Harbor Trials, and Sea Trials of main
machinery and auxiliary systems.
* Coordinate all statutory, Classification Society (Class), and Original Equipment
Manufacturer (OEM) requirements needed for trials and commissioning.
* Maintain comprehensive quality records (QR) for installation, alignment, commissioning,
and rework across the outfitting scope.
Coordination & Post-Delivery
* Act as the primary technical point of contact for outfitting activities, coordinating on policy
matters, contractual issues, and production targets with customers and senior
management.
* Discuss and resolve technical/quality differences with inspecting authorities (QC,
Classification Society, Owner’s representatives).
* Oversee the final Handing Over Taking Over (HOTO) process of the vessel to the owner.
* Monitor and support after-sales service and guarantee claims (GC) for delivered vessels.
