Role Definition:
Designs, develops, and releases drivetrain subsystem components, providing day-to-day engineering support for NPI, CPI/VAVE and Localisation delivery using Creo and Teamcenter data base.
Responsibilities
- Assist and drive initiatives to improve for Cost, Quality and Velocity for current transmission product.
- Preparing CAD, DFMEA, DVPR, Tolerance stack-up, E-BOM for product and its subsystems
- Preparing and presenting topics in design review for CFT approvals
- Analyse root cause for field failure issues and provide corrective actions.
- Use Knowledge of different manufacturing process e.g. Forging, Casting, Machining, Heat treatment and Gear Manufacturing
Degree Requirement
Degree required - Mechanical Engineering with 2 to 5 years relevant experience.

- Computer-Aided Design & Engineering: Strong experience in Creo for component design, with working knowledge of Teamcenter for configuration, release, and lifecycle management

- Product Design & Development: Applies practical design skills to modify and validate drivetrain components, ensuring solutions are robust, manufacturable and production-ready.
- Technical Excellence: Uses sound engineering principles and standards to resolve technical issues and support prototype builds, testing and production support.
- Effective Communication: Clearly communicates technical issues and recommendations to cross-functional, global teams to enable timely resolution and alignment.
Location: Tiruvallur Drivetrain Facility - 5 days' work from office
