We are seeking a qualified Analyst Programmer to design, code, test, and maintain robust enterprise integration solutions. The successful candidate will analyze complex business requirements, translate them into detailed technical specs, and program scalable data transformations and workflows using enterprise Integration Platform as a Service (iPaaS) technology.
This role requires a strong mix of system analysis and hands-on software development. You will take ownership of the full development lifecycle—from gathering endpoint specifications and writing custom transformation code to unit testing and deploying integrations. Working independently, you will deliver "ready-for-review" solutions to the Data Architect, ensuring software quality, performance, and alignment with modern architectural standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesSystems Analysis & Technical Design
- Analyze Business & System Requirements: Evaluate functional requirements and translate them into detailed technical design specifications, system flowcharts, and integration logic.
- API & Interface Analysis: Collaborate with Application SMEs and vendors to analyze API endpoints, examine data schemas (JSON/XML), and determine optimal authentication mechanisms (e.g., OAuth 2.0, JWT).
Programming & Software Development
- Integration & Middleware Development: Program, configure, and build robust end-to-end integration software and workflows using iPaaS platforms (e.g., Boomi, Workato).
- Data Transformation & Custom Scripting: Write, maintain, and optimize custom scripts (using JavaScript, Python, Groovy, or SQL) to perform complex data transformations, mapping, and business logic execution.
- Error Handling & Exception Logic: Code custom error-handling routines, automated logging, and alert systems to ensure high data integrity and reliability across software components.
Testing, Peer Review & Maintenance
- System Testing & Validation: Write test cases and conduct comprehensive unit, integration, and regression testing to validate that data flows and software behaviors meet functional specifications.
- Architecture Alignment: Submit technical designs, codebase implementations, and integration workflows to the Data Architect for code review and strategic alignment.
- Maintenance & Debugging: Diagnose, debug, and resolve technical bugs, API failures, or performance bottlenecks within existing integration programs.
- Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent qualification) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline, alongside proven experience as an Analyst Programmer or Software Engineer.
- Programming & Scripting Skills: Advanced proficiency in SQL and at least one scripting/programming language (e.g., JavaScript, Python, Groovy) for custom transformation logic and software extensions.
- Integration & iPaaS Development: Hands-on experience developing on enterprise integration platforms. Experience with Boomi or Workato is highly preferred; experience with similar iPaaS/ETL tools will be considered.
- Web Services & Standards: Deep technical expertise in REST and SOAP web services, JSON/XML data formats, and modern authentication mechanisms (OAuth 2.0, SAML, API Keys).
- Enterprise Application Knowledge: Demonstrated experience programming integrations against major enterprise systems (e.g., JD Edwards, Avature, Ascender, Salesforce, or SAP).
- Software Testing & Methodologies: Proven understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) best practices, automated testing, and version control tools.
