key responsibilities
- 4+ years of native Android development experience, mainly Kotlin (Java is a plus)
- Skilled in unit testing, code coverage, and CI quality gates
- Comfortable with REST APIs and complex backend integrations
- Deep understanding of code quality best practices
- Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum and/or Kanban)
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders from the Netherlands and Porto
- Fluency in English is mandatory

- Develop and maintain secure Android apps for digital identity and biometric verification
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code by following best practices and coding standards.
- Perform thorough testing and debugging to ensure software quality and reliability.
- Optimise application performance by identifying and resolving bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
- Participate in code reviews to maintain high standards of code quality and consistency.
- Contribute to documenting software designs, technical specifications, and development processes.
- Work autonomously in a distributed, cross-functional team environment
