About the Role
As an APS5 Project Officer, you will be operating with a degree of autonomy under broad direction, you will keep the wheels turning by delivering high-quality governance and administrative support. You will manage competing priorities, track workflows, and ensure governance processes align seamlessly with legislative and policy requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Executive & Governance Support: Coordinate briefings, regional reporting, and core documentation for the Regional Manager and General Manager.
- Secretariat Operations: Manage operational governance processes, including scheduling meetings, compiling papers, tracking action items, and providing dedicated secretariat support.
- High-Quality Documentation: Support regional decision-making by preparing clear, accurate, and well-structured written materials, including briefs, reports, and correspondence.
- Digital Communication & SharePoint: Support regional communication strategies by creating, updating, and managing digital content and resource pages on SharePoint.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Actively engage with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders to gather information, share updates, and progress operational tasks.
- Risk Monitoring: Monitor your own workflows, identify potential delivery delays or process risks, and escalate them to senior leadership in a timely manner.
The Ideal Candidate
- You possess strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interpret and translate information into clear insights.
- You have a meticulous eye for detail, ensuring everything you produce is accurate, compliant, and fit for purpose.
- You can manage competing deadlines and work effectively under pressure with broad direction.
- Desirable Experience: Experience providing governance or secretariat support within a government agency or large, complex organisation. Proficiency in using SharePoint to manage content and support team communication is highly regarded.
