about the job.This is an entry-level paralegal position designed for high-calibre law graduates looking to build a stellar foundation in Hong Kong capital markets. You will provide crucial support throughout the entire life cycle of Hong Kong IPO transactions.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Assisting in legal due diligence investigations on listing applicants, including reviewing corporate documents and organizing data rooms.
Conducting legal research on the Hong Kong Listing Rules, Companies Ordinance, and PRC regulatory frameworks.
Drafting and proofreading sections of the prospectus, verification notes, and other transaction documents.
Assisting with the preparation and coordination of submission materials to the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (HKEX) and the SFC.
Managing transaction logistics, including organizing signing ceremonies, closing procedures, and post-listing compliance filings.
Education: A Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or Master of Laws (LLM/JM) degree from a top-tier domestic (PRC) or international law school.
Experience: This is an entry-level role. Prior internship experience in Hong Kong IPOs or capital markets within a reputable international or top-tier PRC law firm is highly preferred but not mandatory.
Language Skills: Near-native fluency in written and spoken Mandarin and English. Exceptional drafting, translating, and proofreading skills in both languages are essential.
Technical Skills: Proficient in legal research tools (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis, HKEXnews) and MS Office suite. Pass of the PRC Bar Exam (Legal Professional Qualification) is a strong advantage.
