Production Planning & Execution
• Study repair specifications, accommodation layouts, and defect lists related to cabins, corridors, mess rooms, galley, sanitary spaces, and public areas.
• Prepare micro-level work plans aligned with the General Production Schedule (GPS).
• Supervise repair, renewal, and installation of accommodation items such as panels, ceilings, floors, doors, windows, furniture, insulation, and linings.
• Coordinate dismantling and reinstatement works onboard during ship repair/refit.
• Ensure completion of accommodation jobs as per agreed project timelines. Quality Control & Inspection
• Ensure works are executed as per approved drawings, specifications, QAP, and Class requirements.
• Coordinate inspections with QC, Client, and Classification Society as required. • Ensure proper finishing, alignment, and workmanship standards are maintained.
• Close inspection remarks and punch points within planned schedules.
Manpower & Subcontractor Management
• Allocate daily work to supervisors, carpenters, fitters, technicians, and helpers.
• Monitor manpower productivity and job progress.
• Supervise subcontractors involved in accommodation and habitability works.
• Verify completed work quantities and support subcontractor bill certification. Material & Resource Coordination
• Identify material requirements such as panels, insulation, furniture, fittings, sanitary items, and consumables.
• Raise material requisitions in ERP/SAP based on approved scope of work.
• Ensure proper receipt, storage, and utilization of materials onboard and in stores.
• Coordinate availability of tools, scaffolding, and access arrangements. Safety, QHSE & Compliance
• Ensure strict adherence to safety rules for working at height, confined spaces, and onboard activities.
• Conduct toolbox talks and ensure use of PPE by all workers.
• Comply with yard safety procedures, ISO standards, and QHSE systems.
• Support internal and external audits related to accommodation works. Coordination & Reporting
• Coordinate with Hull, Piping, Electrical, Painting, QC, Safety, and Client teams.
• Maintain daily progress reports and update work status to reporting manager.
• Ensure proper handover of completed accommodation areas to the client.
