Responsibilities
Here are the responsibilities for this Atlassian Jira & Confluence Administrator at this IT leader in Montreal
Technical Execution & Configuration:
Translate functional requirements provided by management into technical configurations within the Atlassian suite (Jira Software, Service Management, and Confluence).
Agile Board Management:
Build and optimize complex Kanban and Scrum boards, including column mapping, swimlanes, and card layouts based on gathered specifications.
Workflow Engineering:
Design and implement sophisticated custom workflows, transition screens, and automation rules to streamline project delivery.
User & Security Administration:
Manage global and project-level permission schemes, roles, and security levels to ensure data integrity and compliance.
JQL Reporting & Dashboards:
Utilize Jira Query Language (JQL) to build advanced filters, gadgets, and real-time dashboards for management reporting.
System Maintenance & Troubleshooting:
Perform regular health checks, manage plugin/add-on integrations, and provide rapid technical support for any backend performance issues.
Confluence Space Architecture:
Organize and maintain Confluence space structures, creating standardized page templates and permissions to facilitate knowledge sharing.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
3-5 years of hands-on experience specifically in Jira and Confluence administration (Cloud and/or Data Center).
Expertise in technical execution: Ability to take a functional brief and immediately translate it into board/scheme configurations without needing further analysis.
Advanced JQL Proficiency: Mastery of complex query writing for data extraction and reporting.
Deep Platform Knowledge: Strong understanding of issue type schemes, screen schemes, field configurations, and notification schemes.
Certifications (Highly Preferred): Atlassian Certified Professional (e.g., ACP-120 for Cloud or ACP-100 for Data Center).
Bilingualism: Excellent communication skills in both English and French to support diverse technical teams.
