Key Responsibilities:
1. Vendor & Fleet Management (BA/DBA):
Induction: Identify and onboard new Business Associates (Market Vendors) and Dedicated Business Associates (Attached Fleet) to meet growing business and operational demands.
Performance Review: Conduct regular audits of BA/DBA operational performance and recommend structural changes or replacements to maintain service standards.
Rate Monitoring: Constantly monitor BA/DBA payout rates against current market spot rates to ensure cost competitiveness.
2. Strategic Planning & Network Optimization:
Route Planning: Design and optimize the transport network and specific routes to achieve desired service levels and transit times (TAT).
Operational Strategy: Develop and execute strategies to drive revenue growth by identifying and eliminating operational waste and reducing overall logistics costs.
3. Process Compliance & Monitoring:
SOP Implementation: Develop, implement, and audit Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for route management and ground operations.
Financial Oversight: Monitor all expenses incurred on BA/DBA vehicles; verify invoices and maintain strict control over operational budgets.
4. Field Operations & Quality Control:
Field Visits: Regularly visit branches and customer sites to analyze ground-level data, prepare performance reports, and identify "thrust areas" for improvement.
Efficiency Management: Take proactive Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) to improve operational efficiency.
Service Recovery: Monitor customer complaints and transit time delays, ensuring immediate resolution and long-term preventive measures.
5. Team Leadership:
Development: Plan and oversee the professional development of the operations team.
Training: Conduct training sessions to equip the team with problem-solving skills to address daily operational hurdles.
Candidate Profile:

Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the BA/DBA (Market vs. Attached Fleet) model is mandatory.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel (Data Analytics) and experience with Transport Management Systems (TMS) or ERPs (SAP/Oracle).
Soft Skills: Strong negotiation skills, analytical thinking, and the ability to manage large-scale vendor relationships.
Travel: Willingness to travel to branches and customer locations as required.

Reduction in Logistical Cost per Ton/Km.
Percentage of Adherence to Transit Time (TAT).
Number of high-performing BAs inducted.
