summary
We are looking for a high-performing Senior Business Analyst to join a critical enterprise portfolio for an initial 6-month contract. This role is designed for a BA who thrives in the "engine room" of large-scale change, specifically supporting Complex Business Transformations, Process Re-engineering, and Regulatory-driven initiatives.
Based in Auckland, this role operates on a hybrid model, requiring 3 days per week in the office to facilitate high-touch stakeholder engagement and collaborative workshops.
This isn't about simple requirement gathering; it’s about navigating deep organizational complexity. You will be responsible for the end-to-end analytical lifecycle across multiple, concurrent enterprise-level projects.
You will be tasked with:
Transformation Mapping: Identifying the "As-Is" state and designing robust "To-Be" models for large-scale business shifts.
Process Engineering: Leading deep-dive analysis into operational workflows to drive efficiency and enterprise-wide maturity.
Complex Problem Solving: Operating as the bridge between senior business leadership and technical delivery teams to ensure strategic goals are met.
To be successful in this contract, you must demonstrate:
Enterprise Portfolio Experience: A proven track record of supporting multiple, simultaneous enterprise-level projects with high levels of ambiguity and technical interdependency.
Advanced Elicitation & Facilitation: Mastery in leading workshops with senior stakeholders to uncover root causes and define complex requirements.
High-Quality Documentation: Expertise in producing high-standard Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), User Stories, and Process Maps within Jira and Confluence.
The projects within this portfolio operate under intense scrutiny. We need a BA who is already proficient in:
Regulatory & Compliance Analysis: You understand how to bake RBNZ/FMA requirements and "Know Your Customer" (KYC/AML) logic into business processes.
Financial Systems Context: You have a working knowledge of core banking platforms, payment flows, or credit risk frameworks.
Strict Governance: You are accustomed to the rigorous gated-governance and formal sign-off processes typical of a Tier-1 financial institution.
Requirements Management: Elicit, analyze, and document requirements across various project streams, ensuring full traceability.
Stakeholder Management: Confidently navigate a matrixed environment, managing competing priorities across different business units.
Gap Analysis: Perform detailed gap analysis to identify technical or procedural hurdles in the enterprise transformation roadmap.
Change Support: Partner with Change Managers to ensure the business is ready for the transition and that the proposed solutions are fit for purpose.
Experience: 8+ years as a Business Analyst, with significant experience at the Senior level in corporate banking or large enterprise environments.
Technical Toolkit: Expert in BPMN tools (Visio/LucidChart), Jira, Confluence, and advanced Excel.
Communication: A clear and concise communicator who can translate complex data into compelling business cases for executive review.
