Responsibilities
Develop and understand business drivers, definitions, and metrics to interpret findings, take-action, and provide meaningful business direction.
Develop and maintain specialized Business Intelligence (BI) packages, dashboards and scorecards on the MS Azure Cloud Platform
Manage the repository of all reporting assets including and not limited to data analysis, development scripts, objects and documentation.
Maintain expert knowledge of all main data sources for the data used within the business unit and ability to effectively utilize these data sources
Lead the discussion with business partners to understand business objectives and develop valuable reporting for enablement and fact based decisioning
Validate the quality and integrity of the data included in all artifacts
Develop substantial and insightful commentary/insights on new and existing BI packages
Work independently as the senior analyst / expert and may provide technical support to others
Contractor will gather requirements from business and data exploration.
60% is exploring the code and 20% is interacting with business, 20% team knowledge sharing.
Build data model and pass it on to data as a service team. Someone who is proactive and can see something is wrong with the data.
Qualifications
8+ Experience working or leading end to end project i.e. from data sourcing, ETL and reporting.
Experience working in Agile environment
5+ Hands-on experience in using business intelligence, developing, and building data and tools with Tableau and Azure Cloud
5+ Experience with Python, SQL, Tableau coding experience
Strong team player who fosters and thrives in an environment of peer development and sharing
Strong analytically-anchored problem-solving skills – a logical and strategic thinker with strong critical reasoning skills, proactively identifies risks and issues, recommends solutions, challenges the status quo
Undergraduate degree or above preferably in an analytically based discipline. Master preferred.
8-10+ years of relevant experience
Nice to have Skills:
Experience Databricks and Pyspark
2+ years JIRA and Confluence
Preference for banking industry experience
Additional Requirements:
Enthusiastic and focused self-starter who can work with minimal supervision to strict deadlines and is able to prioritize, multitask, and manage various projects simultaneously
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work with various level of management and senior management to convey findings concisely through presentations and business commentaries
Strong ownership mentality, proactive attitude, and ability to get things done
Demonstrated passionate analytical thinker with track record of delivering business impact and results through developing and executing on innovative BI solutions
Strong problem-solving skills, with a history of using data to understand not only what is happening, but why it is happening, and what can be done to resolve the issue
Strong organizational skills, with the ability to excel in a fast-paced environment and run multiple deadlines and priorities
