    We are excited to be recruiting for an Electrician (442a or 309a) for a top employer in the Peterborough area!The primary role of the Electrician is to provide advanced and effective instrumentation and automation abilities to safely troubleshoot and repair plant equipment to ensure reliable operations. Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair problems in all areas of electrical, automation, networks, instrumentation and control systems that occur.What will you be doing?- Diagnose, troubleshoot and configure PLCs, HMI, Variable Frequency Drives, Sensors, Actuators, Instrumentation and Industrial networks- Perform effective troubleshooting, repairs and modifications in accordance with manufacturers specifications- Observe and test the plant equipment to diagnose malfunctions using meters/analysers, programming stations and other testing devices- Maintain records and ensure inventory is made available for upcoming maintenance and calibration activities- Look into instrumentation and automation downtime's and issues- Programming software using a laptop and configuring the IP address, go through the program and make sure everything is operating properly - Reading schematics, P&ID and layout drawingsWhat are we looking for?- Electrician (442a or 309a) 447 would be considered an asset but not required - Flexibility to work all shifts for training purposes- Ability to program, modify and troubleshoot PLC program codes (Rockwell)- Ideally 3 years of instrumentation and automation/controls experience- Proficient using computers and associated software programs like Allan Bradley, Siemens and B&R- Ability and willingness to learn to cross train in other departments - Diagnose/asses/detect defective parts, machine failures and changes- Able to lift, push and pull up to 50 poundsWhy apply?- Competitive starting salary of $37.00 to $39.00 hourly- Located in Peterborough close to Hwy 115- Opportunity to grow with a top employer- Company benefits - Working is a very clean, bight facilityInterested in hearing more about the role?
