The Role:
Seeking a visionary Executive Manager (CIO) to drive market differentiation through resilient, innovative technology and contemporary, scaled ways of working. This role is pivotal in transitioning to modern, simple, SaaS-enabled platforms, ensuring core service resilience, security, and stability while simplifying the ecosystem.Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Own architectural strategies and roadmaps for domain/platform, leveraging emerging tech to expedite legacy platform decommissioning.
- Ecosystem Transformation: Provide deep SaaS expertise, advising on strategy, and owning the development/refresh of Insurance Platform Roadmaps.
- Vendor and Partner Management: Primary owner of key SaaS vendor/strategic partner relationships, influencing roadmaps and optimising commercial value.
- Service Ownership: Oversee End-to-End Quality Engineering/Assurance and Service Delivery for the insurance technology ecosystem, including robust heritage application decommissioning.
- People and Commercial Leadership: Lead teams (~10 direct, ~50 total reports) across AU/NZ/offshore, managing millions dollar commercial scope for optimised expenditure.
Key Requirements
We are looking for an exceptional leader with:
- Extensive Experience: Proven track record in technology delivery, team leadership, and deep architectural experience.
- SaaS and Strategy Expertise: Expert knowledge of SaaS platforms, strategy (including transition), and operating models.
- Transformation Leadership: Exceptional senior transformation skills, translating strategic initiatives into actionable plans.
- Commercial Acumen & Influence: Exceptional commercial acumen, ability to influence senior stakeholders, and foster strong relationships.
- Engineering Awareness: Understanding of Service Reliability Engineering and emerging engineering trends (AI ops, observability, automation, sustainability)
