The candidate should have the following experience
- develop a global commodity management strategy and
- support and further develop a global action plan for Commodity Forgings (steel bar, open die and closed die forgings)
- support a global team of local Commodity Managers
- independently manage projects, such as the introduction of new technologies & suppliers
- Finalize the rate contract and framework agreement with vendors
- develop vendors for localization projects
- This includes not only securing the best commercial terms, but also considers necessary aspects of quality, logistics and sustainability
- You will build a close relationship with the global strategic purchasing organisation, as well as engineering, sales, quality and operational procurement in different locations
- In your role, you will drive technical innovation and digitalization
- You will also support the achievement of annual financial, operational and strategic targets
- manage a team of 4-5members
- develop the team for organization requirement
the candidate must have below qualification
- a degree with mechanical engineering
- at least 18-20 years of professional experience in the purchasing of raw materials like forging, steel parts, preferably in the steel sector or in mechanical engineering
- must have intercultural skills and you are a team player
- With open-minded personality, he can capitalize on the benefits of digitalization and in your collaboration with internal stakeholders
- With your strategic thinking and analytical, structured approach, he should have proven to be an excellent negotiator.
- Fluency in English, preferred Hindi and a willingness to travel domestically due the profile
