As a vital part of the Corporate Marketing department, the SharePoint Content Specialist will spearhead the management of our current intranet and lead the exciting project to build a new, enhanced intranet platform. This role is perfect for a detail-oriented, responsive, and enthusiastic individual with strong project management and writing skills, ready to take ownership of our company's digital communication hub.
Responsibilities:- Lead the strategic project to build a new intranet, overseeing visual design, site navigation, content development, user engagement, and training initiatives.
- Coordinate with key stakeholders and provide oversight for the SharePoint technology integration.
- Conduct thorough research to understand and address intranet user needs.
- Develop and maintain a clear and effective site navigation structure (information architecture).
- Prepare and publish content, lists, libraries, and pages to the company's intranet platform via SharePoint.
- Provide comprehensive training to staff on using the company's intranet platform and resolve end-user and content-related questions.
- Manage small, medium, and large initiatives from concept to successful completion.
- Analyze and execute the migration and conversion of content into our SharePoint environment.
- Analyze requirements and usage data to propose and implement enhancements to the intranet platform.
- Contribute innovative design ideas for SharePoint site and page creation and improvements.
- Efficiently resolve user requests and issues related to the intranet platform, escalating when necessary and ensuring follow-through to resolution.
- Gather intranet metrics and assist in preparing spreadsheets, reports, and slide decks.
- Assist in drafting and updating documentation and instructional materials.
- Maintain regular communication with the Corporate Marketing team to ensure support expectations are consistently met.
- Liaise with the IT Department to address technical queries.
- Undertake general administrative tasks and duties as assigned.
- Four-year college degree or equivalent work experience in a related field.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience implementing or managing SharePoint sites is required.
- Basic understanding of common web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Demonstrated project management experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
- Proven leadership skills to coordinate and facilitate activities with colleagues.
