Data Analyst

We are looking for a technical Data Analyst for a high-impact, 3-month contract based in Auckland CBD. This role is pivotal in the execution and delivery of sophisticated analytics products. We are seeking a professional who can manage a variety of ad-hoc projects, resolve complex data issues, and engage collaboratively with senior stakeholders.
The Role
You will help drive the delivery of an analytics product portfolio, ensuring that complex datasets are transformed into practical, visual insights.
- Automation: Utilize Python and SQL to deliver analytics outputs and optimize workflows.
- Product Delivery: Refine critical data analysis processes and platforms to support strategic business objectives.
- Data Storytelling: Translate technical metrics into clear, compelling narratives and interactive visualizations for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Workflow Management: Comfortably manage ad-hoc projects and incoming workload with a degree of autonomy & self-direction.
What we’re looking for
This is a "plug-and-play" contract for a seasoned professional. Strong candidates will bring:
- 6+ Years Experience: Extensive background in commercial data analysis.
- Python (Essential): Proficiency in Python for data manipulation and automation is a core requirement.
- SQL Mastery: Advanced database management and querying skills.
- Visualization & Storytelling: Proven ability to turn data into meaningful insights using Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools.
- Geospatial (Bonus): Experience with ArcGIS, GeoPandas, or spatial modeling is a significant advantage.
