Are you a skilled Data Engineer looking to make a meaningful impact within a leading financial organisation? We are seeking a highly motivated professional to join our Data and Insights team, where you will play a critical role in the ongoing administration, enhancement, and optimisation of our data platforms. What You Will Do:- Engineer and model curated Data Warehouse solutions to support BI objectives and the development of key analytics and metrics.
- Liaise with business departments to evaluate data needs and apply technical skills to improve reporting and data insights.
- Partner with technical teams to build maturity in implementing data capture, ETL, validation, and test methods.
- Maintain data model documentation, including data dictionaries and data flow mapping to support data governance.
- Participate in an on-call support roster to monitor and troubleshoot the platform, ensuring high availability of critical services.
- Extensive experience in a similar role within a complex data environment, including at least 5 years in Data Warehousing.
- Strong hands-on experience with ETL tools, specifically SSIS and WhereScape, and proficiency in the Microsoft BI stack.
- Advanced SQL skills, including the ability to write complex queries using sub-queries and nested techniques.
- Experience with Change Data Capture (CDC) tools, such as Precisely, for real-time and incremental data movement.
- Experience working with Azure DevOps, Git repositories, Azure Pipelines, and familiarity with PowerShell scripting.
