We are looking for a high-caliber Database Administrator (DBA) to anchor our data infrastructure. In this role, you won't just be managing instances; you will be the architect of our data’s reliability and performance. You will bridge the gap between development and operations, ensuring our large-scale distributed systems—including MySQL, Redis, and MongoDB—are seamless, scalable, and resilient.
about the job
- Take full ownership of the lifecycle for MySQL, Redis, and MongoDB, from capacity planning and deployment to backup, recovery, and proactive monitoring.
- Dive deep into query optimization, schema design, and configuration tuning to squeeze every millisecond of performance out of our production environments.
- Act as a consultant to our Dev and DevOps teams, providing expert guidance on database architecture and environment deployment.
- Stay ahead of the curve by researching and implementing cutting-edge technologies (like automated failovers and self-healing clusters) to ensure 99.99% availability.
- Be the "SME" (Subject Matter Expert) for complex database issues, utilizing your Linux and scripting skills to resolve bottlenecks fast.
skills and experience required
2+ years of full-time DBA experience. If you’ve worked in a Database DevOps environment. Highly prefer someone someone with in-depth knowledge of relational database theory (SQL) and hands-on experience managing distributed storage systems at scale
Proficiency in Python or Shell scripting to automate repetitive tasks and build robust tooling.
