Key Responsibilities
Surface Development: Create and refine complex 3D surface models using Creo Parametric (ISDX/Interactive Surface Design Extension) and Freestyle modeling.
Plastic Design Excellence: Ensure all designs incorporate essential plastic features, including draft angles, wall thickness uniformity, ribs, bosses, and parting lines.
Technical Analysis: Perform curvature analysis, draft analysis, and thickness checks to ensure surface quality and manufacturability.
Collaboration: Coordinate with Tooling and Manufacturing teams to resolve mold-flow issues and optimize part design for mass production.
Documentation: Manage engineering changes (ECN) and maintain the Bill of Materials (BOM) within PLM systems like Windchill.
Required Skills & Qualifications
CAD Expertise: Advanced proficiency in PTC Creo Parametric, specifically in Surface and Sheet Metal modules.
Plastic Domain Knowledge: Deep understanding of plastic materials (ABS, PP, PC) and injection molding processes.
Precision Tools: Strong command of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and ASME standards.
Education: B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical, Automobile, or Plastics Engineering.
