Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: Diploma/Degree in Engineering (Electrical/Electronics) or Science with a recognized EHS qualification (ADIS / PDIS / NEBOSH / ISO Certification (45001, 14001or equivalent).
- Experience: 2–5 years of relevant experience in EHS within Solar / Renewable Energy / Power / EPC projects.
Job Purpose:
To coordinate and implement all Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) activities at the solar project site in compliance with company, client, and statutory requirements. The EHS Coordinator will ensure safe work practices, monitor risk controls, and promote a proactive safety culture across site operations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. EHS Implementation & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with applicable EHS laws, client requirements, and company standards.
- Assist in implementing the Project EHS Management Plan and relevant Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
2. Incident Management
- Record keeping of all Near Miss, First Aid, and recordable incidents.
- Assist in root cause analysis and ensure timely implementation of Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
- Maintain and update the incident register and communicate learnings to the Project Management.
3. Training & Awareness
- Assist to co-ordinate with the Project and EHS team related to the safety awareness training sessions.
- Maintain training records and competency evaluation reports.
4. Safety Management
- Coordinate with contractors to ensure EHS compliance and availability of safety officers at work fronts.
- Review contractor safety documentation (HIRA, JSA, lifting plans, work permits, etc.).
- Participate in pre-mobilization audits and verify compliance before commencement of work.
·On-time compliance submission like Form 68, Form 164 for the Transmission line.
- Knowledge about ESIA, Study, ESDD, CHA, CRA, for the Solar Project.
- Data compilation as per business and ESG requirements for disclosures and reporting.
5. Environmental Management
- Support environmental monitoring activities (waste management, spill prevention, dust control, etc.).
- Maintain documentation for waste disposal, spill response, and environmental KPIs.
- Promote initiatives like water conservation, rainwater harvesting, and greenbelt development.
6. Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly EHS reports.
- Maintain records on observations, checklists, safety inspection reports, and non-conformance closures.
- Support in internal EHS audits and ensure compliance closure.
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Good understanding of EHS regulations, IMS standards, and solar project hazards (electrical, work at height, lifting, etc.).
- Strong observation, communication, and reporting skills.
- Ability to work independently and coordinate with multiple teams.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint for report preparation.
- Timely reporting and closure of incidents and observations.
