Are you an experienced Energy Management Specialist looking for a long-term contract opportunity to work on cutting-edge Advanced Energy Management Systems? A major utilities organisation is embarking on a transformational journey to leverage next-generation technology and prepare its network operations for a changing energy environment. In this 12-month contract role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the ongoing reliability, availability, and performance of existing EMS and SCADA platforms during this major transition. If you have strong technical expertise in real-time operational environments and critical infrastructure, this is the perfect project for you.
What You Will Do:- Provide subject matter technical expertise on the design, development, and configuration of complex IT and OT operational systems, including Energy Management Systems and ICCP.
- Test various core and integrated EMS/AEMS software functions against processes to ensure data quality and integrity, along with correct system operation.
- Diagnose and resolve system issues promptly to prevent downtime and optimise system processes.
- Raise technical defect items and assist with their triage, reporting, escalation, resolution, and retest.
- Collaborate with engineers, project delivery teams, and stakeholders to implement changes, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or an Information Technology discipline, or significant relevant experience in HV Systems and Energy Management Systems (EMS).
- Proven capability operating in real-time operational environments, with an understanding of high-availability requirements and continuous network visibility and control.
- Demonstrated experience in system troubleshooting and incident resolution across EMS/SCADA components, data flows, and displays.
- Experience managing EMS/SCADA data, configuration, and deployment, including validation of database changes and controlled promotion of changes.
- Capability to support system testing and transition activities, including FAT, SAT, and parallel operations.
