Your Responsibilities

• Curriculum Excellence: Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality English Language and Literature lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, fostering a deep appreciation for the subject.
• GCSE Preparation: Support and guide Year 11 cohorts through their exam specifications, utilising targeted interventions and detailed feedback to maximise student confidence and results.
• Inclusive Adaptive Teaching: Tailor classroom resources to challenge high-attaining pupils while providing clear scaffolding and support for students with SEN or differing literacy levels.
• Classroom Management: Establish positive, respectful relationships with new classes quickly, maintaining an organised, focused, and safe environment for learning.
• Assessment & Collaboration: Carry out all necessary planning, marking, and assessment duties, working in close alignment with departmental colleagues to ensure consistent progress tracking.

What You'll Bring to the Team

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) / QTLS: Mandatory. A degree in English Literature, Language, or a closely related discipline.
