The Role & What to Expect
As a day-to-day supply teacher, your focus is entirely on impactful classroom delivery and student engagement.
- No Planning Burden: Step into pre-prepared classrooms and deliver high-quality English Language and Literature lessons across Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4).
- Behaviour & Environment: Utilise positive classroom management strategies to ensure a welcoming, productive learning space.
- Liaison: Work alongside excellent local school support staff and teaching assistants to keep students focused.
- Zero Marking Strings: Leave the classroom tidy, leave handover notes for the permanent teacher, and hand over your keys at the end of the day.

The Essentials (Requirements)
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised UK teaching qualification.
- Strong curriculum knowledge of KS3/KS4 GCSE English.
- Excellent adaptability and quick rapport-building skills.
- An enhanced DBS check on the update service (or willingness to process one through Randstad).
- A true commitment to safeguarding and child welfare.
