Job description
The transport sector is on the verge of the biggest transition in its history: the switch to electric driving. Do you want to make an impact on the Heavy-Duty vehicles of the future? We are looking for experienced engineers to strengthen the Electrification Team of our client - a major truck manufacturer headquartered in the Netherlands, active in the international transport sector.
We are currently looking for reinforcements in various areas. Whether you are an expert in battery integration, thermal management, power electronics, or optimizing existing fleets, we may have a challenge that fits your expertise.
...
What will you do?
As an EV Systems Engineer, you serve as the central link between hardware, software, and mechanical integration. You will work on High Voltage (HV) systems for electric and hybrid (PHEV) trucks and buses.
Depending on your expertise and preference, you can focus on one of the following domains:
- Running Business: You are responsible for the quality and continuity of the EV trucks already rolling off the assembly line. You resolve complex hardware/software issues, coordinate validations, and ensure structural solutions in production and service.
- Vehicle Thermal Management: You focus on HV Heaters (cabin & battery) and cooling systems. You integrate pumps, valves, and sensors and ensure that software controls (heating/cooling) interact perfectly with the vehicle.
- HV-Battery Integration (PHEV): You work in the concept phase of new Plug-in Hybrid trucks. You draft specifications for the battery pack, monitor mechanical and electrical integration, and guide the process from concept to prototype (BOM release).
- Power Electronics: You are the expert in the field of DC/DC and DC/AC converters. You define specifications, monitor interfaces with the e-motor and battery, and ensure the safe integration of high-power electronics.
Your possible core tasks
Depending on your specialization, your day consists of a dynamic mix of engineering and process management:
- Specify & Analyze: Drafting Technical Requirement Specifications (TRS) and performing risk analyses (FMEA).
- Supplier Management: Assessing RFQs, technical alignment with suppliers, and guiding Supplier Sign-Offs (SSO).
- Validation: Drafting test plans (DVP&R) and assessing test results (bench testing & vehicle testing).
- Integration: Collaborating with mechanical, electrical, and software teams to seamlessly integrate components into the vehicle.
Are you the engineer who will lift our electric fleet to a higher level? Apply immediately and indicate in your motivation which of the four directions (Running Business, Thermal, Battery, or Power Electronics) has your preference!
