Role Overview
As a Medicine Sales Executive (Professional Oral Care Consultant), you will act as the primary link between Company and the medical/dental community. Your core mission is to drive the recommendation of Company’s therapeutic and professional range of products (e.g., Company Total, Sensitive Pro-Relief, Phos-Flur) by engaging with Dentists and ensuring stock availability at Chemists.
Key Responsibilities
1. Prescription Generation (Detailing)
Regularly visit Dentists and Dental Specialists in the assigned territory to promote company's professional product portfolio.
Conduct scientific detailing to explain the clinical benefits of products, persuading doctors to prescribe/recommendcompany brands to their patients.
Build strong relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) in the dental fraternity.
2. Channel Management (Chemist & Stockist)
Ensure availability of prescribed products at local Pharmacies/Chemists near dental clinics.
Manage the commercial relationship with stockists and distributors to ensure timely supply and zero stock-outs.
Monitor competitor activity and market trends in the oral care segment.
3. Event Management
Organize and represent Colgate at Dental Conferences (IDA meetings), CMEs, and in-clinic camps.
Conduct product demonstrations and educational sessions for dental staff.
4. Sales & Reporting
Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for the assigned territory.
Maintain accurate records of doctor visits and sales data using the company’s CRM/Reporting tools.
Candidate Profile (Who We Are Looking For)
Education:
Essential: Graduate
Preferred: MBA in Marketing or International Business.
Experience:
Minimum 1 to 4 years of experience in Pharma Sales (Medical Representative) or FMCG Sales.
Prior experience in Dental Sales or handling Dentist clients is a huge advantage.
Key Skills:
Strong communication and presentation skills (English & Local Language).
Ability to negotiate and close sales.
Scientific aptitude to understand and explain technical product details.
High energy, self-motivated, and willing to work in the field.
Compensation & Benefits
Annual CTC: ₹6,00,000 (Includes Basic, HRA, Special Allowances).
Incentives: Performance-based monthly/quarterly incentives over and above the CTC.
