Role Objective
The primary focus of this role is to assist in the preparation, analysis, and submission of accurate financial reports. You will ensure compliance with IRDAI regulations, Indian GAAP, and Ind AS, while supporting the month-end closing process and statutory audits.
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Reporting & Compliance
Assist in the preparation of Financial Statements (Balance Sheet, P&L, Cash Flow) on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
Ensure all reports comply with IRDAI guidelines, Companies Act 2013, and Accounting Standards (Ind AS / IGAAP).
Support the "Fit for Consolidation" process for reporting to the parent entity (Axis Bank / Max Financial).
2. Regulatory Submissions
Prepare and validate data for BAP (Business Analytics Project) submissions to IRDAI.
Assist in filing Public Disclosures, Life Council reporting, and other ad-hoc regulatory certificates.
3. Audit & Internal Controls
Act as a point of contact for Statutory and Internal Auditors, providing necessary schedules and resolving queries promptly.
Maintain and update the Internal Control Framework (ICF) to ensure robust financial governance.
Perform regular Trial Balance (TB) reviews and account reconciliations to ensure data integrity.
4. MIS & Data Analysis
Generate monthly MIS reports to provide financial insights to senior management.
Perform Variance Analysis (Actual vs. Budget) to identify and explain fluctuations in financial performance.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Education: Chartered Accountant (CA) is highly preferred. M.Com or MBA (Finance) from a reputable institute may be considered with strong relevant experience.
Experience: 1–3 years of post-qualification experience in Financial Reporting, ideally within the Life Insurance or BFSI sector.
Technical Knowledge:
Strong grasp of Ind AS and Indian GAAP.
Understanding of IRDAI regulations and the insurance business model.
Proficiency in Advanced MS Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, Complex Formulas).
Familiarity with ERP systems (like SAP or Oracle) is a plus.

High attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to meet strict regulatory and internal deadlines.
Strong communication skills for stakeholder management.
