To support their expanding regional footprint, they are seeking a highly capable Financial Controller to spearhead their financial operations, with a critical focus on establishing, refining, and monitoring robust financial policies across multiple jurisdictions.
about the job
Reporting directly to the regional executive leadership, the Financial Controller will be the ultimate custodian of the company’s financial integrity. While you will oversee standard finance operations—including regional reporting, consolidation, and tax—your primary mandate will be the continuous review, enhancement, and monitoring of corporate financial policies. You will ensure that internal controls and financial governance keep pace with the company's fast-evolving, multi-country business model.
Key Responsibilities
... Policy Review & Optimization: Lead the continuous assessment, drafting, and updating of the company's financial policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and internal control frameworks across all regional entities.
Active Policy Monitoring: Establish robust monitoring mechanisms to ensure strict adherence to updated financial policies, identifying control gaps and mitigating risks related to rapid operational scaling.
Financial Governance & Training: Act as the central authority for policy interpretation. Roll out new financial protocols and provide comprehensive training to cross-functional teams to ensure a culture of compliance.
Regional Consolidation & Reporting: Oversee the accurate and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and group consolidations, ensuring all reporting aligns with the latest statutory and internal policy requirements.
Audit & Remediation: Serve as the primary liaison with external auditors, tax agents, and regulatory bodies. Drive the immediate remediation of any audit findings by implementing targeted, sustainable policy updates.
Strategic Advisory: Advise the executive board on the financial and risk implications of new business initiatives, proposing proactive policy adjustments to support sustainable, compliant growth.
Key Requirements
Experience: Minimum 8–10 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, with at least 3–5 years in a Financial Controller or similar regional leadership capacity.
Policy Expertise: A proven, hands-on track record in designing, reviewing, and rolling out comprehensive financial policies, Delegation of Authority (DOA) matrices, and internal controls within a multi-national or complex corporate environment.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting. A professional qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CA, MIA, or equivalent) is strictly required.
Industry Background: Prior experience in the Technology, SaaS, or IT Consulting sectors is highly advantageous.
Attributes: Exceptional analytical skills with a proactive, risk-based approach. You must possess the gravitas and communication skills necessary to enforce policy adoption across diverse regional teams constructively.
