Key Responsibilities:
1. Foundry Production Management
Lead and manage all foundry operations including melting, alloying, casting, and heat treatment.
Ensure production targets, quality standards, and safety regulations are met consistently.
Implement process improvements to enhance productivity, reduce wastage, and improve yield.
Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure uninterrupted operation of foundry equipment.
2. Metallurgical Expertise
Analyse and control the chemical composition and physical properties of aluminium alloys.
Conduct regular metallurgical testing and analysis to maintain product quality.
Troubleshoot and resolve metallurgical defects such as porosity, cracks, and inclusions.
Develop and implement heat treatment cycles and alloy formulations.
Stay updated with latest metallurgical advancements and industry best practices.
3. Production Planning and Scheduling
Develop and implement production schedules in coordination with other departments to ensure timely delivery.
Forecast raw material requirements and coordinate procurement to avoid production delays.
Monitor inventory levels and optimize resource utilization.
Prepare and analyse production reports and KPIs.
Liaise with supply chain and logistics teams to streamline production flow.
4. Team Leadership and Development
Lead, train, and motivate the foundry and metallurgical team.
Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
