Key Responsibilities
1.Leadership & Governance
•Lead and develop a high-performing procurement and subcontracting team
•Establish and enforce governance frameworks, processes, and best practices.
•Oversee sourcing and procurement activities across multiple simultaneous projects.
2.Strategic Sourcing & Market Intelligence
•Analyze industry trends, market conditions, and demand patterns to support sourcing strategies.
•Conduct market research to identify and assess new suppliers
•Identify and eliminate inefficiencies, waste, and variability in the supply chain.
•Ensure compliance with latest regulatory requirements, contract laws, and industry standards. 3.Supplier & Contract Management
•Evaluate suppliers based on quality, capability, performance, cost, and service.
•Lead negotiation of contracts and agreements for materials and services
•Manage supplier selection, qualification, and contract administration throughout project lifecycle.
•Monitor supplier performance and initiate corrective actions as required.
•Ensure timely preparation and issuance of purchase orders and agreements.
•Address and resolve supplier issues, disputes, and operational concerns.
•Conduct inspections and quality audits of procured materials and manage non‑conformities.
4.Commercial & Operational Excellence
•Prepare RFQs/RFPs, proposals, and negotiate commercial terms and conditions
•Coordinate with vendors to ensure compliance with contractual terms and regulatory requirements.
•Promote continuous improvement, ethical sourcing, and sustainability in procurement practices.
•Identify risks and opportunities throughout the procurement lifecycle through proactive market analysis.
Requirements & Skills:
•Proven leadership experience in Procurement, Contracts, or Supply Chain Management.
•Strong understanding of procurement strategies, commercial terms, and regulatory requirements.
•Excellent communication, interpersonal, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills.
•Strong analytical and problem‑solving capability.
•Ability to address and resolve stakeholder issues and concerns effectively.
•Commitment to continuous improvement, governance, ethics, and sustainable procurement.
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP systems (such as SAP).
Qualifications & Experience :
•Minimum 20+ years of experience in Procurement, Purchase, Contracts, or Supply Chain Management within the renewable energy sector (wind and solar).
•Bachelor’s degree (B.Tech) in Mechanical Engineering.
•Preferred additional qualifications: MBA, specialization in Supply Chain Management, or NICMAR – Contracts Management. Key Competencies:
