Purpose of the Role:
The GM will provide strategic leadership, operational excellence, and financial stewardship to a world-class pharmaceutical industrial park housing over 125 global pharmaceutical companies. The role is responsible for ensuring profitability, stakeholder engagement, sustainable growth, and innovation in infrastructure and operations.
Roles & Responsibilities:- Strategic Leadership & P&L Management
- Lead the overall strategy, growth, and profitability of the Pharma City.
- Drive long-term business plans and identify new revenue streams, including renewable energy and customer base expansion.
- Ensure operational excellence and future-ready infrastructure.
- Facilities & Operations Management
- Oversee O&M of park infrastructure, including roads, utilities, STP/ETP, cogeneration facilities, and water treatment plants.
- Implement automation and set up a central control centre for integrated park management.
- Drive R&D facility optimization and oversee capital expenditure projects.
- Stakeholder & Community Relations
- Build strong partnerships with pharmaceutical companies within the park to address operational needs.
- Maintain relationships with local communities, ensuring the park’s social license to
operate.
- Liaise with state government departments, regulators, and political stakeholders to facilitate seamless operations.
- Financial & Commercial Management
- Manage lease collection, billing accuracy, and timely recovery.
- Develop budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting for board review.
- Drive cost optimization while maintaining service quality.
- Governance, Compliance & Sustainability
- Ensure adherence to laws, environmental standards, and regulatory frameworks.
- Champion ESG and sustainability initiatives within park operations.
- Maintain occupational health and safety compliance across facilities.
Key Qualifications:
- Postgraduate degree in Engineering or Management from a reputed institution.
- Minimum 25 years of leadership experience in large-scale industrial operations, infrastructure, or pharma/chemical/industrial park management.
- Proven track record in P&L management, stakeholder engagement, and government/regulatory affairs.
- Candidates from Andhra Pradesh are preferred (local language proficiency for effective liaison).
