What You Will Do:
- Oversee, manage, and improve the Enterprise GIS and spatial data , including installation, configuration, and maintenance of GIS platforms, web mapping portals, and spatial databases.
- Monitor system health, performance, backups, and security, proactively addressing issues and developing solutions.
- Take responsibility for the integrity of GIS data repositories and associated metadata through planning and implementation of spatial data quality and standards.
- Provide expert technical advice for GIS matters, acting as a point of contact and escalation for more complex issues as required.
- Design and run spatial analyses, model scenarios, and provide insightful reports and visualisations as required.
What You Need to Apply for This Role:
- Degree in geographic information science, computer science, information management, or other relevant field, or suitable relevant experience.
- Knowledge of the ESRI ArcGIS Platform (ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online) and FME.
- Experience with data modelling tools and programming/scripting languages relevant to GIS workflows (e.g., Arcade, Python, SQL).
- Knowledge and experience in managing geographical information systems, databases, and web delivery systems.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills in spatial data analysis and system administration.
