Key Responsibilities
1. Tendering (Pre-Contract Stage)
• Study and interpret commercial terms & conditions of EPC tenders for EHV Substation and Transmission Line projects.
• Prepare and vet commercial bids, deviations, price schedules, and contractual compliance statements.• Coordinate with Engineering, Estimation, and Finance teams to finalize techno-commercial submissions. 2. Contract Agreement & Post-Award Formalities

• Review, negotiate, and finalize EPC Contract Agreements with clients.
• Ensure incorporation of all commercial protections, payment terms, LD clauses, PV clauses, tax provisions, and risk mitigation.
• Manage contract amendments, addendums, and change orders.
3. Billing & Payment Realization
• Oversee preparation and submission of RA Bills, Final Bills, PV Bills & VariationClaims.
• Ensure timely certification of bills and follow up for payment realization.
• Resolve billing disputes with clients and consultants. 4. Price Variation (PV) Calculations
• Independently prepare and vet PV Bills based on IEMA and Railway Indices.
• Ensure correct application of base indices, weightages, and escalation formulas as per contract.
5. Project Insurance
• Handle all types of Project Insurance including:
o Contractor’s All Risk (CAR)
o Erection All Risk (EAR)
o Marine / Transit Insurance
o Workmen Compensation / Third Party Liability
• Coordinate with insurers for endorsements, claims, and renewals.
6. Bank Guarantees
• Manage all Project-related Bank Guarantees including:
o Bid Security / EMD
o Performance Bank Guarantee (PBG)
o Advance Bank Guarantee
o Retention BG
• Track validity, renewals, releases, and compliance with contract terms.
7. Reconciliation & Contract Closure
• Conduct Material Reconciliation, final account settlement, and contract closing.
• Ensure closure of all commercial, financial, insurance, and BG obligations.
8. Liaison with Key Government Officials
• Liaise with DISCOMs, Railways, PSU clients, and Govt. Authorities for approvals, certifications, and payment release.
• Represent the company in commercial discussions and negotiations.
9. Project Management
• Plan, monitor, and control EPC project execution schedules for EHV Substation and Transmission Line works in line with contractual milestones.
• Track progress of engineering, procurement, construction, erection, testing, and commissioning activities.
• Identify delays, risks, and bottlenecks and initiate corrective actions in coordination with site and HO teams.
• Ensure alignment between technical progress and commercial milestones for timely billing and cash flow.
• Support preparation of recovery schedules and ensure compliance with approved project timelines.
• Review site progress reports and participate in project review meetings with internal teams and clients. 10. Internal Coordination
• Coordinate with Project, Engineering, Planning, Stores, and Finance teams.
• Support site teams on contractual, billing, and claim matters.
• Maintain centralized commercial records and MIS.
