IT Support Officer - Northern Victoria (Bendigo/Kyneton)
The Role
As an IT Support Officer, you will provide critical Level 1 IT delivery and operational support across active operational hubs and field venues for a large scale project. This is a multifaceted role combining technical service desk troubleshooting and escalation with physical hardware deployment.

Rate: $51.55 per hour plus superannuation (12%)
Duration of the project: August to December 2026
... You will be responsible for:
- Acting as the first point of contact for technical enquiries (face to face, onsite).
- Logging, triaging, and managing incident priorities under tight, time critical constraints.
- Setting up, configuring, testing, and decommissioning field devices, laptops, printers, and specialised operational equipment.
- Resolving routine issues around user account logins, password resets, software errors, and basic network connectivity (wired and wireless).
- Maintaining highly accurate asset tracking records and documentation for all deployed equipment.
The Environment & Logistics
- Work Dynamics: Critical function, fast paced environment requiring rostered shifts, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
- Physical Component: Includes light manual handling of IT equipment and standing for extended durations.
- Travel: Located at a hub but may be required to travel between local sites to assist (a current Australian driver licence is mandatory).
What You'll Bring
- Technical Foundations: Proven experience delivering Level 1 IT support, service desk, or field technical assistance (2+ years).
- Core Systems: Proficiency with Windows devices, PC hardware, MS Office, Teams and standard ticketing tools.
- Operational Aptitude: Comfort learning specialised proprietary hardware workflows quickly and assisting non technical users under pressure.
- Soft Skills: Outstanding communication, a calm demeanour during high pressure peaks, and exceptional escalation judgement.
