About the Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a leading organization as a Junior Network Engineer. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in supporting and optimizing network infrastructure, focusing on HFC network projects. You will be tasked with analyzing data, developing scripting solutions, and solving complex technical problems to assist the team in achieving its infrastructure goals. This role provides an excellent platform to quickly grasp new technologies and showcase your findings directly to senior management and key stakeholders.
Key Criteria
Experience: Maximum of 2–3 years of experience in a dedicated networking role.
Industry Knowledge: Essential experience within telecommunications and networking environments; prior HFC (Hybrid Fiber-Coaxial) experience is highly preferred (though broad cable technology experience is flexible).
Technical Skills: Strong data analysis capabilities and crucial scripting skills to automate and optimize processes.
Problem Solving: Proven ability to think outside the box and demonstrate strong, proactive problem-solving skills.
Soft Skills: Must be a rapid learner who easily grasps emerging technologies.
Communication: Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills suitable for reporting to senior management.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain, support, and optimize telecommunication and networking infrastructure with a focus on HFC networks.
Utilize scripting skills to automate routine tasks, improve network efficiencies, and streamline workflows.
Conduct thorough data analysis to identify network trends, anomalies, and areas for system improvement.
Apply out-of-the-box thinking to troubleshoot complex network issues and implement robust problem-solving strategies.
Synthesize technical data and regularly present project outcomes and performance metrics to senior management and key stakeholders.
Rapidly adapt to and integrate new technologies into daily operations to maintain team agility.
