We are seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Senior Lab Manager to oversee our chemical and microbiology laboratories in India. Responsibilities:Position – Manager – Chemical Lab
Department – QC Lab
Location – Vemula, Mahbubnagar
Experience – 10 to 15 Years
Industry: Pharma; Ceramic; Glass
- Reporting and closing unsafe action, unsafe condition& Near miss.
- Reporting of Incidents occurred in the department.
- Participating in Incident Investigation & Root Cause analysis.
- Participating in Mock Drills.
- Ensuring updating of HSE Dashboard in Department.
- Participating in Department HIRA.
- Calibration of Instruments as per schedule.
- Maintain the Laboratory related records/ ISO Documents as per the requirements.
- Training to new joining persons on related works & chemical lab activities.
- Allot the work to Lab attendant, Jr. Executive and Sr. Executives.
- Training and upgrading Lab related works to all Lab dept. personnel.
- Maintain 5 “S” activities.
- Monitoring of day-to-day lab related works as per SOP & schedules.
- Communicating to all requirements of other related departments.
- Training on handling and disposal of Acids/ Chemicals/ Solvents to all Lab Executives.
- Usage of PPE during chemicals digestion, dilution and preparation of solutions & reagents.
- Training on Good Laboratory Practices/GDP in the chemical lab.
- Ensure do not exceed the overtime limit of employees 40 hours/month
- Ensure no employee shall work continuously 10days
- Provide the required training related to SA8000 standard
- Participate in SPT risk assessment and worker representative meetings
- Ensure young workers should work not more than 10 hours/ day and not allowed to work in night shifts
- Follow discrimination policy and ensure no harassments to co-workers (verbal, written or physical)
- Ensure to follow code of ethics and conduct policy
- Master of Science (MS/M.Sc.) or B.Tech in a relevant scientific field (e.g., Chemistry, Microbiology).
- A minimum of 10 years and a maximum of 20 years of progressive experience in laboratory management.
- Proven expertise in Chemical Lab operations and Lab Management.
- In-depth knowledge of NABL accreditation processes and requirements.
- Strong understanding of Microbiology principles and practices.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in laboratory information management systems (LIMS) is a plus.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
