About the Role:
We are registering expressions of interest for a dependable site labourer for an upcoming, long-term commercial project in Wakefield.
This is an ongoing contract role scheduled to start within the next 1 to 2 months. Working alongside an established commercial main contractor, you will play a crucial role in maintaining site standards, assisting trades, and ensuring day-to-day operations run safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting sub-contractors and specialist trades with moving heavy materials and equipment across site.
- Keeping site access routes, compounds, and work areas clean, safe, and organised.
- Managing commercial waste, clearing debris, and loading skips.
- Assisting with the unloading, checking, and distribution of site deliveries.
- Carrying out general physical labour and manual handling tasks as directed by the Site Manager.
Requirements:
- Valid CSCS card (Essential).
- Proven experience working as a labourer on commercial construction sites.
- Full PPE (Hard hat, high-vis jacket/vest, steel toe cap boots).
- A proactive work ethic, excellent punctuality, and strong communication skills.
- Strict commitment to site health and safety standards.
- Based in or within easy commuting distance of Wakefield.
