About the job
We are seeking a proactive, commercially-minded, and meticulous Legal Executive to independently manage and safeguard the company’s legal, corporate, employment, and compliance matters. You will act as a key legal advisor to business operations, translating complex legal requirements into practical commercial solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Legal & Commercial Strategy: Manage legal, corporate, and operational matters independently, offering risk assessments and advice to management.
- Contract & Agreement Drafting: Draft, review, negotiate, and manage contracts, commercial agreements, notices, tenancy contracts, vendor agreements, and corporate correspondence to protect company interests.
- Employment & Industrial Relations: Manage internal employment matters, industrial relations issues, and ensure alignment with labour laws.
- Dispute Resolution & Litigation: Handle claims, dispute resolutions, and coordinate closely with external legal counsel on active proceedings.
- Compliance & Governance: Monitor legal compliance, liaise with regulatory bodies/authorities, and design internal policies to strengthen governance and mitigate operational exposure.
- Documentation & Risk Management: Maintain systematic legal records, perform case tracking, and conduct regular legal risk assessments to support business decision-making.
The Requirements
- Education: Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) or an equivalent recognised legal qualification.
- Qualifications: Called to the Malaysian Bar
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of relevant hands-on experience in legal practice or an in-house corporate legal setting, with a experienced record of managing legal portfolios independently.
- Languages: Excellent written and spoken proficiency in both English and Bahasa Malaysia (strong contract drafting skills in both languages are essential).
- Skills & Competencies: Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills paired with high commercial awareness and meticulous attention to detail.
- Attributes: High level of integrity and confidentiality, with the resilience to prioritise and deliver legal solutions independently within a flexible, active business environment.

You will join a flexible, growth-focused management team that values agility, accountability, and practical innovation. Reporting directly to top management, you will work closely with cross-functional department heads including HR, Operations, and Finance, serving as a trusted advisor to keep business operations secure, compliant, and positioned for sustainable expansion.
