    about the companyWe are currently partnering with a global food packaging specialist that is currently expanding their operations team in Malaysia. about the jobAn exciting opportunity for a dedicated and energetic Purchasing Specialist is now available to join the team and support the expanding customer base.This position requires strong purchasing foundation with an in depth understanding of the broader Supply Chain.Key Responsibilities:Coordinate the supply of standard items to meet internal and external customer requirementsCheck purchase requests against inventory records, or stock on handRunning purchase requisition reports daily and converting as necessaryCreate purchase orders on local vendors for specific demand requirements and expedite the orders to meet delivery dates for internal and external customersConfirm vendor acknowledgements, verifying delivery meets required customer datesRecording order confirmations and late notifications to internal and external stakeholders Qualifications/Experience:3-5 years of experience in purchasing/procurementAbility to manage competing demands with the ability to work towards deadlines in a fast paced environmentMust be capable of working independently, in a fast paced environment whilst liaising closely with major stakeholders to ensure accurate, on time delivery of customer requirementsStrong communication, cooperation interpersonal and presentation skills about the manager/teamYou will be reporting to the Supply Chain Manager If you are interested and deem suitable for the role, please click apply below.
