Job Summary

Responsible for creating detailed mechanical drawings, blueprints, and schematics for a variety of machinery and mechanical devices. This role involves working closely with engineers and other team members to develop accurate and high-quality mechanical designs that adhere to industry standards and specifications. Primary Responsibilities

Develop detailed designs for mechanical equipment and controls.
Create detailed mechanical drawings and blueprints using CAD software such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
Collaborate with engineers and project managers to develop and refine designs, ensuring all technical documentation adheres to industry standards and regulations.
Provide details on component descriptions, specify dimensions, materials, and procedures.
Resolve design problems and correct operating deficiencies.
Review and analyze specifications, and compute mathematical formulas to develop and design detailed specifications.
Revise and update existing mechanical drawings as needed.
Conduct site visits to gather measurements and data for creating accurate designs.
Maintain organized records of all drawings and related documentation.
Provide technical support to other departments as required.
Program drawings into automated manufacturing systems.
Prepare engineering drawings that detail plans and specifications.

Qualifications

Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, or an Associate's degree in drafting.
Proven experience as a Mechanical Draughtsman or similar role.
Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and design standards.
Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar.
Attention to detail and a high level of precision in work.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Strong mathematical abilities.
Able to work within strict deadlines.
