For our client - DAF Trucks N.V. in Eindhoven - we are seeking a dedicated Mechanical Engineer Aftertreatment.
As a Mechanical Engineer Aftertreatment, you will play a key role in developing and integrating advanced exhaust aftertreatment systems. Because this domain spans hardware, electronics, controls, and software, you will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to optimize current product lines and drive future technology innovations.
Key Responsibilities
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Lead mechanical development activities by collaborating seamlessly with internal teams and external suppliers.
- Requirements & Supplier Management: Translate project goals into clear technical specifications, working with suppliers to design, validate, and launch market-ready solutions.
- Quality & Problem Solving: Apply Six Sigma deliverables and DMAIC methodologies to drive root-cause problem resolution.
- Validation & Release: Initiate and guide component validation and release processes to hit critical project milestones on time.
- Team Leadership: Active participation in and leadership of Simultaneous Engineering Teams (SET).
- System Compliance: Ensure all hardware meets strict standards for functional performance, emissions compliance, reliability, quality, robustness, and manufacturability.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Evaluate test results, formulate actionable technical recommendations, and present insights to leadership.
- Reporting Line: Direct report to the Engineering Supervisor – Aftertreatment Hardware.
