We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Medical Coder with expertise in IDPRG to join our team in Hyderabad, Telangana. This is a full-time, permanent position offering a professional and formal work environment.
Responsibilities:- Accurately assign ICD-10-CM/PCS and CPT codes to diagnoses and procedures based on clinical documentation.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant coding guidelines, regulations, and payer policies.
- Abstract and analyze clinical information from patient records to support coding decisions.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding standards and healthcare regulations.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to clarify documentation and ensure accurate coding.
- Participate in audits and reviews to ensure coding accuracy and identify areas for improvement.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharma) degree.
- Minimum of 2 years and a maximum of 8 years of experience in medical coding.
- Proficiency in IDPRG coding systems and methodologies.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and disease processes.
- Knowledge of ICD-10-CM/PCS and CPT coding principles.
- Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and coding software.
